How to get the File Path and Name into Excel sheet without using Command Prompt..!!!

File Path Fetch Application




SECTION A

Definition:
Fetch File Path application is designed to store a list of file names, their file paths and the size of the files from a specified location into a Microsoft Excel Workbook.

SECTION B
Prerequisites:
  1.                 Create a new empty Microsoft Excel file and save it as type: ‘Excel 97-2003 Workbook (*.xls)’ in a location of your choice.
  2.    Ensure you close the Excel file you created in 1.
SECTION C
How to use the application:
  1)      After completing the prerequisites in section B, copy the source folder path where the files are stored into the ‘Folder Path’ field.




2)      Copy the source folder path of the Excel file you created in section B into the ‘Excel Path’ field.
 

    3)Click on 'OK'
4)      Open the Microsoft Excel file created in section B where the list of file names, their file paths and the size of the files from the specified location should be stored.
   SECTION D
   Common Errors:
 1)      The following error occurs when you have not copied the source folder path into the ‘Folder Path’ field.



          2)      The following error occurs when you have not saved the Microsoft Excel file in the ‘Excel 97-2003 Workbook (*.xls)’ format.



          3)      The following error occurs when you use an Excel path that does not exist.




            4) The following error occurs when you use an incorrect folder path.
